Third winner for Street Sense

Two-year-old filly I Sense Your Luck too good at Del Mar

After recording two winners in quick succession recently, Street Sense recorded his third individual winner when the Danny Velasquez-trained I Sense Your Luck saluted on debut at Del Mar over five-and-half furlongs.

Jumping away swiftly from an outside gate, jockey Patrick Valenzuela allowed the filly to sit in third position throughout. As the field turned into the home stretch I Sense Your Luck hit the lead and held off the late challenge of the runner-up Grandma’s Rules to score by a head margin.

Bred by Dixiana Stables Inc, I Sense Your Luck is the third named foal of the Stakes-winning Out Of Place mare Racing Luck and comes from the family of Stakes winners Aspiring Proof, Aspiring Nick, Sir Pinder, Casperoo, Fabulous Prospect and Synastry Express.

Street Sense, the best son of the phenomenal Street Cry, was the leading first-crop sire by yearling average, with offspring selling up to $435,000, and continues to lead his sire crop by two-year-old sales average in 2011. Street Sense remains the only sire to ever complete the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile/Kentucky Derby double.
