Sixth winner for Discreet Cat romps by over seven lengths

Discreet Cat sired his sixth two-year-old winner August 20 when his daughter Medieval Cat won her second start by an impressive seven and three-quarter lengths.

The juvenile filly broke speedily to set the pace during the five and one half-furlong race at Ellis Park. Leaving the turn the filly continued to stride away and never looked back as she posted the noteworthy victory.

Medieval Cat was bred in Kentucky by Machmer Hall and is out of the Fusaichi Pegasus mare Ling. The mare is a half-sister to G1-placed Magical Illusion and Graded-placed runners Lily O'Gold and Shah Jehan. The filly's second dam is Graded Stakes winner Voodoo Lily.

With six winners to his credit, Discreet Cat ranks among the top freshman sires by winners. Among his most significant winners is Saratoga Maiden Special Weight impressor Dehere Of The Cat as well as Lucky Dan, who broke his maiden by over ten lengths. Discreet Cat's first group of runners refelects the foals of 87 Stakes horses/producers.
