Incredible Incredicat

Discreet Cat colt wins well on debut at Woodbine

Discreet Cat's two-year-old son Incredicat certainly justified his 6-5 favortism December 4 at Woodbine, winning on debut in a five and one-half furlong Maiden Special Weight. He is the 15th two-year-old winner for the first year sire.

Incredicat broke like a bullet and settled just off the early lead in third. Coming around the final turn the colt began to travel wide. He took the lead at the three-sixteenths pole and there was no turning back from there.

Bred by Kinghaven Farms Limited, Incredicat is out of Lady Auchamore, by Meadowlake. He is a half-brother to Stormy Lord, a G2 winner of more than $900,000. The colt's second dam is Stakes winner Explosive Kate.

Discreet Cat, a son of Forestry, has sired a strong 15 juvenile winners to date in 2011. Just one day ago his son Discreet Dancer turned heads when posting a track record setting debut win at Gulfstream going five and one-half furlongs in 1:02.34. A winner of the world's richest Derby, one of Discreet Cat's top wins was in the G1 Cigar Mile.
