Elusive Quality's Seduire smashing in G2 Santa Ynez Stakes
Elusive Quality filly Seduire had a fantastic start to her three-year-old career January 3 with an easy score in the G2 Santa Ynez Stakes at Santa Anita. It was the second win in a row for the newly three-year-old filly, after capturing the Golden Gate Debutante Stakes by more than five lengths in late November.
In the six-and-one-half-furlong race Seduire flew out of the gate to take the early lead. When challenged rounding the far turn, the filly asserted herself, kicking on at the top of the stretch and proving much the best to wine gate-to-wire. Street Sense filly Callback finished second.
Seduire marks the 42nd Graded or Group winner around the world for sire Elusive Quality. Among the sire's other runners at this elite level are G1 Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones, G1 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass, Australian Champion Sepoy, and multiple Group-winning filly Shuruq.
Elusive Quality's stud fee for the 2015 breeding season is $40,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
