Win fostered for son of Frosted

A gutsy victory for Foster Hope

Frosted’s two-year-old son, Foster Hope, stayed on strongly at the end of the six-and-a-half-furlong dirt contest to break his maiden at Gulfstream Park December 13th, becoming his sire’s 15th winner!

Breaking sharply from the gate at odds of 13-1, Foster Hope settled off the pace as favorite, Speight, led the way. Encouraged to equal the favorite as they made their way through the final turn, Foster Hope slowly put the favorite behind him into the stretch only to find another rival in Joshy Jak closing as they approached the finish. With only strides left, Foster Hope dug in to gutsily put his nose in front at the line.

Bred in Kentucky by Robert and Lawana Low, Foster Hope is out the young Smart Strike mare, Thepartyneverends and is the second foal of his family. His second dam, Clay’s Rocket was Black Type placed and produced multiple Graded Stakes placed and now sire, Laurie’s Rocket, as well as Black Type winner Greeley’s Rocket.

Frosted is the only freshman sire with multiple TDN Rising Stars, and only Into Mischief can top his four juveniles with 80+ Beyers in 2020. His other notable winners include G2 Golden Rod winner and G1-placed TDN Rising Star Travel Column, G2 Remsen and G3 Nashua runner-up Ten for Ten, TDN Rising Star Inject, Stakes-placed Frost Me, eight-length Belmont winner Likeable, Saratoga winner Restored Order, and Keeneland winner Inspector Frost.

He will stand the 2021 breeding season at Jonabell Farm for a fee of $25,000 stands and nurses.
