True Quality wins Paumonok Handicap

Elusive Quality colt records first Stakes victory after two Graded-placed efforts

Fresh from his runner-up slot in the G3 Gravesend Handicap on 27 December, True Quality posted an emphatic three and three-quarter length victory in the Listed Paumonok Handicap at Aqueduct on 24 January.

The four-year-old Elusive Quality colt returned triumphant to the track on 7 December for his third win exactly six months after finishing third in the G2 Woody Stephens Stakes. Bred by Seasongs Farms LLC, True Quality is out of the Seeking The Gold mare Louve Mysterieuse, a grand-daughter of the 1970 Oaks winner Lupe.

The six-furlong (1200m) Paumonok Handicap was won in 2006 and 2007 by Holy Bull's son Bishop Court Hill.
