Restored Order graduates at the Spa

Son of Frosted goes wire-to-wire on the Saratoga lawn

Frosted's two-year-old son Restored Order became his sire's fourth winner and second in as many days after a wire-to-wire performance on the turf at Saratoga on September 5th.

Restored Order broke like a shot under jockey Irad Ortiz went straight out to a three length advantage.  He never looked back in the mile-and-one-sixteenth contest, maintaining his lead down the stretch to win comfortably by two lengths.

Trained by Todd Pletcher for Repole Stable and St. Elias Stable, Restored Order was switching to the turf for the first time after two solid efforts on the dirt.  He had finished third on debut going four-and-a-half furlongs at Gulfstream on May 8th, then returned on August 15th at Saratoga to finish fourth going six-and-a-half furlongs.

Bred in Kentucky by Merriebelle Stable, LLC, Restored Order was a $115,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga yearling and a $420,000 OBS March juvenile.  He is a son of the Forestry mare Taboo, a daughter of G1 Apple Blossom winner Dream of Summer and a half-sister to G1 winners Creative Cause and Vexatious and G2 winner Destin.  Restored Order is a half-brother to G3-placed Der Lu and Stakes-placed Smartly Agree.

Restored Order is the fourth winner for his freshman sire, whose previous winners include 10-length Churchill Downs maiden winner Frosted Prayer and TDN Rising Stars Inject and Travel Column, the latter of whom won impressively on debut at Churchill on Friday.  Frosted is the only freshman sire with multiple TDN Rising Stars.
