Street Cry's G1 winner Here Comes Ben repeats victory in Kelly's Landing Stakes

Here Comes Ben, a five-year-old son of Street Cry, repeated with a second win in the Kelly's Landing Stakes June 24 at Churchill Downs after winning the race in 2010. The horse also won at the highest level last year in the prestigious G1 Forego Stakes at Saratoga with a 104 Beyer figure. Here Comes Ben dueled for the lead to start the seven furlong race before shaking off foes in the stretch to secure a victory by over three lengths.

The son of Street Cry was bred in Kentucky by owners Marianna and Brandon L. Chase. Here Comes Ben is out of the Dayjur mare Chasetheragingwind, who is a half-sister to G3 winners King Charlemagne and Meshaheer as well as the dam of G1 winner Albertus Maximus. Here Comes Ben's second dam is the G1 winner Race The Wild Wind.

A leading international sire, Street Cry's son Street Game scored an impressive wire-to-wire victory in the G3 Hill Prince Stakes on June 18. He is also the sire of G1 winner and Horse of the Year Zenyatta, as well as G1 winning Darley stallions Street Sense and Street Boss. The stud fee for Street Cry is $150,000 Stands and Nurses.
