My World took command at the top of the stretch and pulled away to a three-and-a-half-length victory in the Listed $150,000 Nashua Stakes at Belmont at the Big A on Nov. 1.
The two-year-old colt, who has now won two of three starts, became the third Stakes winner for his freshman sire, Essential Quality.
Breaking alertly under jockey Jaime Rodriguez, My World prompted the early leader Tough Guy Tony from second while racing a bit wide down the backstretch. My World moved up to challenge the leader at the top of the lane, bumping Tough Guy Tony slightly before taking the lead and drawing off to a comfortable victory.
My World was bred in Kentucky by Cove Springs, LLC, and is out of Quebec, a multiple Stakes-winning daughter of Into Mischief. My World was purchased by his current connections for $350,000 at the 2024 Keeneland September yearling sale.
Two-time Eclipse Award winner Essential Quality is now the sire of three Stakes winners from his first crop. In addition to My World, he is also the sire of Chopsticks, winner of the Ellis Park Debutante and Essential Time, winner of the Clever Trevor Stakes at Remington Park. All told, Essential Quality has sired 13 winners from his first crop so far.
Essential Quality will stand the 2026 breeding season at Jonabell Farm for $25,000, stands and nurses.
