Mr Big scores in Garden City Trophy

Another Stakes win for Elusive Quality's Champion son

Singapore Champion Mr Big, by Elusive Quality, once again lived up to his name September 23 with a gutsy victory in the Garden City Trophy at Kranji. It was the fifth black-type victory for the sprinting specialist.

In the 1200 meter race Mr Big settled in a forward position and took control of the lead with 200 meters to go. When challenged near the finish, Mr Big charged further to take the victory impressively.

The four-year-old gelding was bred by Shadwell Estate Australasia, Ltd. and is out of the Danehill mare Basamaat, who is a daughter of G3 winner Shining Hour.

Elusive Quality consistently sets a standard of quality as a sire. His eight G1 winners include the likes of G1 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass, G1 Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones, and Australian Champion Sepoy. 2012 has been headlined by G1 Prix Rothschild victress Elusive Kate for the sire.
