Maximum Offer was able to set an easy tempo early and had plenty left late to win the G3 Indiana Oaks in gate-to-wire fashion at Horseshoe Indianapolis on Saturday, July 11.
The three-year-old filly by Maxfield, who earned her first Graded Stakes win with the victory, improved her record to 8-3-0-1 for Baccari Racing Stable LLC, Alfred Riccio and Robert Cotrone.
A field of five went to the post in the Indiana Oaks, with Maximum Offer the fastest of the quintet out of the gate. The 5-1 shot immediately slowed things down on the front end, putting up an opening quarter of just :24.74.
Chased by Prom Queen up the backstretch, Maximum Offer let that rival inch a little closer around the far turn but as her rivals fanned out on either side of her, jockey Luis Saez let his filly out a notch and she kicked away, leading in Betty's Pearl and Nahla in a final time of 1:42.65.
Bred in Kentucky by KMN Racing LLC, Maximum Offer is out of the winning mare, No Better Terms (Pure Prize), and is a half-sister to Stakes winners/Graded Stakes-placed runners Stealthediamonds (Unusual Heat) and Kimberlea K (Indian Evening), and to Another Miranda (Classic Empire), multiple Graded Stakes winner and champion juvenile filly in Puerto Rico.
In addition to Maximum Offer, Maxfield is also the sire of the exciting three-year-old colt, Englishman, winner of the G1 Woody Stephens Stakes where he equaled the Saratoga track record. Other 2026 Stakes winners include Sabino Canyon, who broke his maiden when winning the Los Alamitos Derby; Ivy Girl, winner of the Weber City Miss Stakes and Holly’s Holiday, winner of the Valley of the Vapors Stakes at Oaklawn Park.
