Street Sense filly Sensible Lady wins The Very One Stakes at Pimlico

Street Sense was the sire of his fourth Stakes winner May 18 at Pimlico as his daughter Sensible Lady took the five furlong The Very One Stakes on the turf. Settled on the rail, Sensible Lady positioned herself in second entering the turn. She then began to take command at the eighth pole where there was no turning back from there to score by two lengths.

Sensible Lady is the first foal for the multiple Stakes winner and Graded-placed Awesome Lady, by Bianconi. The three-year-old filly was bred by Spendthrift Farm, LLC.

Street Sense, a fantastic Kentucky Derby-winning son of Street Cry, is the sire of three other black-type winners. Among them are G3 winners Castaway and Motor City. He is also the sire of the exciting G1-placed filly Miss Netta from his first crop.

Street Sense currently stands for $40,000 at Darley USA.
