The lights shine on Hollywoodboulevard’s four length victory

Street Cry filly becomes the 42nd Stakes winner for her sire

Lightly raced Street Cry three-year-old filly Hollywoodboulevard recorded her third win, and first Stakes victory by taking out the G3 Fillies Mile in South Africa on November 27 by four lengths.

As the field settled in the run, the Charles Laird-trained filly was some nine lengths off the leaders, but was always travelling well within herself. After finding trouble when trying to improve her position, jockey Guillermo Figueroa pulled Hollywoodboulevard to the outside of the field where she lengthened extremely impressively to record a devastating victory.

Out of the unraced Filante mare Soneria, Hollywoodboulevard was bred by Cescastle Pty Ltd and was sold at the 2008 Magic Millions weanling sale for $6,000 to Byefarms Breeders. Having won three races from only seven starts, the improving filly has provided her owners with a significant return on investment.

Hollywoodboulevard is one of 42 international Stakes winners for the G1 Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry, headed up by G1 winners Zenyatta, Street Sense, Whobegotyou, Shocking, Street Boss, Victor’s Cry, Here Comes Ben and Street Hero.
