Hoarding headlines in Fairway Stakes

Elusive Quality colt wins at Newmarket

Elusive Quality's three-year-old son Hoarding earned his first Stakes victory in Newmarket's Fairway Stakes May 18.

The John Godsden-trained colt was positioned off the pace in the one-and-one-quarter-mile race, before going wide in the final two furlongs to take the lead and run on to the victory.

Bred by Scuderia Archi Romani di Paolo Agostini & Darley, Hoarding is out of the Cadeaux Genereux mare What A Treasure, a full-sister to German Champion Toylsome.

Renowed for his talented runners, Elusive Quality is the sire of such G1 winners as Kentucky Derby victor Smarty Jones, Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass, and Australian Champion Sepoy. 2012 was highlighted by Cartier Champion Certify and the G1-winning miler Elusive Kate for the sire. Elusive Quality stands for $50,000 stands and nurses at Darley America.
