Hit Parade plays winning tune in Untapable Stakes at Fair Grounds

Street Sense filly collects 10 points towards start in G1 Kentucky Oaks

Hit Parade battled with Luv Your Neighbor through the stretch before edging to the front at the wire to win the $100,000 Untapable Stakes by a head at Fair Grounds on Saturday, Dec. 20.

It was the third straight win – and first Stakes victory – for the juvenile daughter of Street Sense, who now has won three of four starts. The win also garnered the filly 10 points on the 2026 Road to the Kentucky Oaks.

Hit Parade, who entered the race off a strong allowance win at Churchill Downs in her previous start, chased the early pace set by Pashmina. She began her run at Pashmina down the stretch, hooking up with Luv Your Neighbor inside the final furlong. The pair battled all the way to the wire, with Hit Parade getting the victory by a head bob at the wire.

Hit Parade was bred in Kentucky by her owners, Gary and Mary West and is out of the mare Wedding Band, by Candy Ride. She hails from the female family of two-time Horse of the Year, Curlin.

In addition to Hit Parade, Street Sense is also represented this year by La Cara, winner of both the G1 Central Bank Ashland Stakes and G1 Acorn Stakes; new Darley stallion First Mission, winner of the G2 Oaklawn Handicap, Bella Ballerina (G2 Golden Rod Stakes), Serendipity (G3 Selene Stakes), Street Beast (Global Tote Juvenile Mile), and Proctor Street (Listed Cardinal Stakes).

Street Sense will stand the 2026 breeding season at Jonabell Farm for $40,000, stands and nurses.
