Frosted’s first winner is a TDN Rising Star!

Daughter Inject wins impressively on debut at Ellis

Frosted’s two-year-old daughter Inject became the first winner for her freshman sire and earned TDN Rising Star status with a very impressive debut victory at Ellis Park on Saturday, August 15th. Her 82 Beyer is the second highest for a two-year-old filly on dirt in 2020.

Sent off at 7-1, the $390,000 Keeneland September yearling broke alertly under jockey Julien Leparoux.  She sat in second behind Quick Munny before cruising to the lead at the top of the stretch and pulling away to win easily by six lengths in a quick final time of :57.67 for the five furlongs.

Bred in Kentucky by My Meadowview LLC, Inject is a daughter of G1 Spinaway winner Appealing Zophie (Successful Appeal) and is a half-sister to G1 Belmont Stakes winner Tapwrit and G2 Del Mar Derby winner Ride a Comet.

Frosted, the best son of Tapit, is the fastest-ever winner of the G1 Met Mile.  His 123 Beyer Speed Figure is still the best recorded by any horse since 2007.
