Frost Point last to first on debut at Tampa

Becomes Frosted's 14th first-crop winner

Frosted's two-year-old daughter Frost Point went from last to first to break her maiden on debut going six furlongs on dirt at Tampa Bay Downs on December 5th.

Breaking slowly under jockey Antonio Gallardo, Frost Point was near the rear of the field early before moving up down the backside.  She made a four-wide move around the turn and flew down the stretch to take the lead and win comfortably by a length and a half.

Trained by Bill Mott, the Godolphin homebred is a daughter of G1 Frizette winner Balletto (UAE) and is a half-sister to Black Type winner and G1-placed Villanesca.

Frosted is also the sire of G2 Golden Rod winner and G1-placed TDN Rising Star Travel Column, G2 Remsen and G3 Nashua runner-up Ten for Ten, TDN Rising Star Inject, Stakes-placed Frost Me, eight-length Belmont winner Likeable, Saratoga winner Restored Order, and Keeneland winner Inspector Frost. Frosted is the only freshman sire with multiple TDN Rising Stars, and only Into Mischief can top his four juveniles with 80+ Beyers in 2020.

He will stand the 2021 breeding season at Jonabell Farm for a fee of $25,000 stands and nurses.
