Fitzgerald dominates in the Dubai Creek Mile

Becomes Elusive Quality's 125th Black Type winner

Elusive Quality sired his 125th Black Type winner on December 15 when his four-year-old son Fitzgerald powered home in the Listed Dubai Creek Mile at Meydan in his Stakes debut.

Breaking from the far outside, Fitzgerald was widest of all while passing horses around the turn and then drew away through the stretch to dominate the field by eight lengths.

Bred in Kentucky by Darley, Fitzgerald is out of three-time Argentinian G1 winner Filarmonia, by Slew Gin Fizz. His second and third dams were also Graded Stakes winners in Argentina.

Elusive Quality is the sire of 14 lifetime G1 winners, including such standouts as Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones, Australian Champion Sepoy, and Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass.

He will stand the 2017 breeding season at Jonabell Farm in Kentucky for a fee of $30,000, stands and nurses.
