First Stakes success for daughter of Medaglia d’Oro

White Moonlight strikes in Scotland in the Listed Queen Of Scots Stakes

Medaglia d’Oro’s six-year-old daughter White Moonlight struck for the first time at Stakes level on Saturday, 3 June when landing the Queen Of Scots Stakes. Always prominent in the seven-furlong contest, she took the lead two furlongs from home and ran on well to record a one-and-three-quarter length triumph.

Bred by Godolphin, White Moonlight is the first foal of Dubawi’s Group winner Fitful Skies, who was also placed in the G1 E.P. Taylor Stakes. Fitful Skies also has a yearling filly by Medaglia d’Oro.

Medaglia d’Oro has now sired 171 Stakes winners including 90 that have struck at Group or Graded level. They include current first-crop sire Enticed, who was a G2-winning juvenile who trained on to land the G3 Gotham by nearly three lengths.
