Precocious as her G1-winning sire, the 2-year-old filly, Harper's Corner, by Speaker's Corner, left no doubt who was best in the field in a maiden special weight at Laurel Park on June 12, 2026, as she exploded out of the gate to win by seven and three-quarter lengths on debut. Never threatened, Harper's Corner registered early splits of :22.81 and 47.37 and was geared down in late stretch for the easy victory.
Out of the Speightstown mare, Toscana, Harper's Corner is a half to Stakes-placed Tenjaku. Toscana is a half to G3 winner Nikkis Smartypants.
Speaker's Corner is by the emerging sire of sires, Street Sense, and won the G1 Carter while posting an impressive 114 Beyer. In fact, in the past six years, only Sovereignty and Flightline have run faster. His seven career triple-digit Beyers include a 109 at three.
