Daughter of Street Sense continues on her winning ways

Cosmic Storm claims the G3 La Trice Classic in Western Australia

Cosmic Storm, a five-year-old daughter of Street Sense, recorded her fourth career Stakes victory and her third in her past four starts with a comfortable victory in the G3 La Trice Classic at Ascot, Western Australia, 31 December.

Starting a short-priced favourite, Cosmic Storm settled midfield in the early stages. She was momentarily held up shortly after straightening, however once she gained clear running she quickly put the race beyond doubt.

A homebred for Bob Peters, Cosmic Storm is out of the dual G3-winning mare Stormy Nova and hails from the family of La Volta, a winner of the G1 Australasian Oaks.

Cosmic Storm is one of 47 stakes winners for her sire, who has also produced top performers Callback, Wedding Toast, and Street Fancy. Street Sense’s leading progeny in 2016 are headed by the likes of Sense Of OccasionStreet Strategy, Street of Gold, and Thatcher Street.

Street Sense will stand the 2017 season at Jonabell Farm for a fee of $45,000, stands and nurses.
