Cornell smartest in Port Adelaide Guineas

New Stakes winner for Elusive Quality in Australia

Elusive Quality’s son Cornell notched his first career Stakes victory in the Port Adelaide Guineas April 14 at Morphettville over 1800m. The three-year-old pulled clear in the stretch and was long gone.

Cornell is out of the Doyoun mare Ivy League, herself a Stakes winner in her native Ireland. Cornell was bred in Australia by Darley.

His sire Elusive Quality continues his dominance in both hemispheres, the sire of 8 G1 winners, including G1 Breeders’ Cup Classic victor Raven’s Pass, G1 Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones, and Australian Champion Sepoy.

Elusive Quality stands for $50,000 at Darley USA.
