Bustling races away with two-year-old feature at Ascot

Frosted youngster earns Black-Type and now top fancy for G2 Karrakatta Plate in two weeks

Smart two-year-old Bustling collected his first Black Type and gave his Darley shuttle sire Frosted another recent feature-race winner when he scored a convincing victory in the Listed Amelia Park - Perth Stakes at Ascot on Saturday, 6 April.

A debut winner at the same track in early March, Bustling raced outside the lead early before sprinting clear for jockey Chris Parnham to beat Sir Dreamalot by 1.5 lengths, with Ripper Farooq three-quarters of a length away in third place.

Trained by Daniel Moreton and bred in Western Australia by Oakland Park Stud out of the Australian mare Busimiss, Bustling now has two wins and a second from three starts and is one of the top fancies for the G2 Karrakatta Plate at Ascot on 20 April.

Bustling gave Frosted his fourth Stakes winner in the past six weeks after Frosted At Dawn (out of Hawana) won the G3 Nad Al Sheba Turf Sprint over 1,000m in course-record time (55.41 seconds) at Meydan. Security Code (Stopspendingmaria) also won at Aqueduct and Post Time (Vielsalm) saluted at Laurel in mid-February.

Frosted has sired 298 winners of 650 races worldwide, including 27 Stakes winners of 39 Black-Type races.
