Avie's Quality shows off in Display Stakes

Elusive Quality colt is third juvenile Stakes winner in 2012

Two-year-old Elusive Quality colt Avie's Quality looked much the best December 1 with an easy win in the Display Stakes at Woodbine. Sent off as the 8-5 favorite, the colt patiently settled mid-pack. Steadily advancing throughout, Avie's Quality took charge in the stretch to smoothly take the one and one-sixteenth mile race.

This was the second win in a row for Avie's Quality, who easily broke his maiden by 5 lengths over the same track November 14. Bred by Tall Oaks Farm and Darley, the colt is out of G1 E. P. Taylor Stakes winner Fly For Avie. She is also the dam of Stakes winner Avie's Tale and G3-placed Avie's Sense, by Street Sense.

Avie's Quality is the third juvenile Stakes winner in 2012 for Elusive Quality, who has also sired G1 winner Certify and Discernable, a Stakes winner at Deauville. He has also been represented by Elusive Kate, a winner of the G1 Prix Rothschild in 2012. Among Elusive Quality's top runners lifetime are G1 Kentucky Derby winner Smarty Jones, G1 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Raven's Pass, and Australian Champion Sepoy.
