A brace of Listed wins for Quiet American and E Dubai

Seattle Smooth (Quiet American) and Dubai Distinction (E Dubai) win at Delaware and Calder

Quiet American (pictured) filly, Seattle Smooth gained her second Listed success of the season on Saturday when romping away with the Go For Wand Stakes at Delaware Park.

She was having her first start for Anthony Dutrow, having previously been trained on the West coast by Julio Canani, and was always travelling sweetly in fifth and only needed a hand ride in the stretch to score impressively by seven-and-a-quarter-lengths.
This victory takes her win tally to three from nine starts with over $180,000 in prizemoney.

A $340,000 yearling, she is out of the Seattle Song mare Our Seattle Star, dam of a further two winners including Black-type placer Storming Starlet. She also has a full-brother foal to Seattle Smooth.

At Calder, the E Dubai gelding Dubai Distinction gained his first Stakes victory when running out a neck winner of the Eillo Stakes.
Trained by Michael Jablow, he handled the sloppy conditions well to win the $55,000 event over six-furlongs.

He was bred by Sun Valley Farm out of the unraced Dayjur mare Darlin, who is a granddaughter of the Champion, Straight Deal.
