Girolamo gets first Stakes winner from first crop

She’s All Ready scores big at Saratoga

She’s All Ready became the first stakes winner for freshman sire Girolamo in taking the six and one-half furlong Seeking the Ante Stakes at Saratoga on August 28th.  The filly is now 2 for 2, having broken her maiden impressively by 8 lengths on debut at Saratoga three weeks earlier, for which she earned TDN Rising Star status.

Sent off as the heavy 1-5 favorite in her stakes debut, She’s All Ready broke sharply and dueled with longshot Crowd Control through a quarter in 22 flat and a half-mile in 45 1/5.  She began to pull away around the turn and drew off in the stretch to win by three lengths in a final time of 1:16 3/5.

Bred in New York by Kings and Queens Farm, She’s All Ready is out of the winning El Prado mare Prominent, who is out of the stakes-winning mare Biblionic.

Girolamo, a son of A.P Indy and a full brother to the dams of G1 winners Super Saver, Bluegrass Cat, and Imagining, won the G1 Vosburgh and the G2 Jerome Handicap.  He has had seven first-crop winners so far, including stakes-placed Belmont maiden winner Lucky Lurie and Saratoga debut winners Backwood Bay and Pagan.  The latest win by She’s All Ready places Girolamo at #2 on the North American first-crop sire list by earnings.
