Third career Stakes victory for daughter of Holy Bull

Holy Bull's daughter Warrior Maid earned her third Stakes victory February 5 at Delta Downs in the one mile La. Bred Premier Night Distaff Stakes. The six-year-old mare broke well on the inside and took the lead from the gate. Warrior Maid kept a clear advantage throughout for the strong wire-to-wire victory. The mare's other Stakes scores include the Louisiana Cup Filly and Mare Sprint Stakes and Premier Night Starlet Stakes, and she has placed in the G3 Eight Belles Stakes.

Warrior Maid is a homebred for Russell Welch and is out of Rejoice, by Marsayas. Her second dam is Stakes winner Yuma Queen. Warrior Maid's career earnings now total $390,889.
