Treasured Up finds gold in Listed Robert G. Dick Memorial

One of three weekend Stakes winners for her sire

Sent off as the 4-5 favorite in the Listed Robert G. Dick Memorial Stakes, Medaglia d'Oro filly Treasured Up posted a game victory in the Delaware Park event. The four-year-old filly most recently scored in the Keertana Stakes at Churchill Downs on May 18 for owner Spendthrift Farm.

In the one-and-three-eighths-mile race, Treasured Up was under a strong hold in third. Positioned on the outside, the filly edged closer around the final turn and kicked on with a game finish in the stretch to take the win.

The daughter of Medaglia d'Oro is out of Melisma, who has also produced G2 San Diego Handicap winner and G1 Dubai World Cup-placed Choctaw Nation, as well as Stakes-placed Mined Over Matter. She was bred in Kentucky by Summer Wind Farm.

Treasured Up is the second Graded Stakes winner on the day for Medaglia d'Oro, as Dark Cove impressed in the G3 Stars and Stripes Stakes at Arlington Park to win his third Graded Stakes in a row. Treasured Up is one of 44 Stakes winners for her sire, whose recent representatives include dual G1 winner Marketing Mix, G1 CashCall Futurity winner Violence, and G2 Fleur De Lis Handicap victress Funny Proposition. He is best known for Horse Of The Year Rachel Alexandra and G1 Kentucky Oaks winner Plum Pretty.
