Top Executive much the best in Irish Day Stakes

Street Boss gelding cruises to second straight Stakes victory

Top Executive repelled a late challenge from Bobby Brinkley before drawing off to post a sharp one-and-a-half length victory in the Irish Day Stakes at Emerald Downs July 25.

The three-year-old Street Boss gelding entered the race off a win in the six-furlong Auburn Stakes over the same course June 20. The victory improved Top Executive’s overall record to four wins in seven starts, with three Stakes wins to his credit.

Top Executive was bred in Kentucky by Frankfort Park Farm and Dr. R. Mason. He is out of Severn Shore, a Stakes-placed daughter of Pure Prize, and hails from the family of Stakes winners Sea Rescue, Waves and Tides, Dahlgren Hall and Navy Ribbon.

In addition to Top Executive, Street Boss is the sire of 2021 Australian Stakes winners Anamoe (G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes), Arcaded (G2 Blue Diamond Fillies Prevue, etc.) and Street Life (Listed Adelaide Hills Railway Stakes). In North America he is represented by New Boss (Pea Patch Overnight Stakes, Allen ‘Black Cat’ Lecombe Memorial Stakes), Who Took the Money (Crescent City Derby), Lady Edith (Mamzelle Stakes) and Bienville Street (Sunshine Filly & Mare Turf Stakes).

Street Boss will stand the upcoming southern hemisphere season at Kelvinside, NSW, at a fee of $55,000, including GST.
