It shouldn't come as a great surprise that the first weanlings by Nyquist and Frosted are selling well given the fact that they entered stud last year at the top of their sire crop. Full books from top breeders translated to solid weanling prices that placed them at the top of the list of weanling sires by average through November 9, 2018, day four of Keeneland's marathon November sale:

2. Frosted - $192,222
3. Runhappy - $165,833
4. Exaggerator - $129,571
5. Mshawish - $120,000

In addition to having the top averages, this dyanamic duo are also represented by the highest-priced weanling by any of the freshman sires. OXO Equine paid $600,000 for hip 413, a colt out of a half-sister to the brilliant champion and five-time G1 winner Lady Eli, while Cavalier Bloodstock went to $310,000 for hip 990 - also a colt - which is out of a Medaglia d'Oro half-sister to Graded winner Promenade Girl, dam of G1W Cavorting.
