Switch spectacular in G2 A Gleam Handicap

Multiple G1-winning daughter of Quiet American wins again

Multiple G1 winner Switch, by Quiet American, showed her dominance once again July 14 in the G2 A Gleam Handicap at Hollywood. The seven furlong race had Switch stalking the pace under speedy fractions. Entering the stretch Switch began to take charge and swept by the field to victory for trainer John Sadler and owner C R K Stable.

Among five-year-old Switch's best wins are the G1 La Brea Stakes and G1 Santa Monica Stakes. She has won or placed in a remarkable ten G1 races. Bred by Calumet Farm in Kentucky, Switch is out of G3 winner Antoniette, who is also the dam of Stakes winner Keystone Gulch. This is also the family of Darley's Elusive Quality.

Quiet American continues to be a powerful influence of soundness and class at stud. In addition to Switch, 2012 has been highlighted by multiple Stakes winner and G1-placed Absinthe Minded and millionaire Stakes winner Star Guitar. His best lifetime include G1 Kentucky Derby winner Real Quiet and G1 winner Cara Rafaela, who is the dam of sensational young sire Bernardini.
