Surf and turf proves right mix for Kilderry

E Dubai three-year-old successful on Stakes debut at Del Mar

Kilderry stepped up to Stakes company for the first time on Wednesday, putting in a battling peformance to win the Listed Oceanside Stakes over a mile on the firm Del Mar turf.

The three-year-old E Dubai gelding was making his eighth career start, all of which have been this year, for three wins and two seconds, and has looked a progressive sort since switching to trainer Mike Mitchell.

Kilderry was bred by Pam and Jim Robinson of Brandywine Farm in Kentucky and is out of the Dancing Brave mare Empress Of India. E Dubai is also sire of the Stakes winner Buy The Barrel, High Heels and Desert Code.
