Social Paranoia flies home in the G3 Poker

Son of Street Boss earns second career Graded Stakes victory

Social Paranoia came from the rear of the pack and charged home in the stretch to win the G3 Poker Stakes going one mile on turf at Belmont Park on the Fourth of July.  Following the race, his trainer Todd Pletcher said the G1 Fourstardave Handicap at Saratoga could be next for the four-year-old son of Street Boss.

It was the second career Graded Stakes win for Social Paranoia, who won the G3 Appleton Stakes at Gulfstream earlier this year. Last year as a three-year-old, he won the Listed Dueling Grounds Derby in addition to hitting the board in Graded Stakes such as the G1 Belmont Derby, G2 American Turf and G3 Pennine Ridge.

Social Paranoia was bred in Kentucky by Mineola Farm II, LLC and Silent Grove Farm, LLC. He is out of the Deputy Minister mare Shutterbug and is a full brother to Stakes winner Dekabrist.

In addition to Social Paranoia, Street Boss is the sire of 2020 Stakes winners Gold Street (Listed Smarty Jones Stakes, Sugar Bowl Stakes) and Hanseatic (G3 Blue Diamond Prelude, Listed Blue Diamond Preview, in Australia).
