A sight to behold

E Dubai's Behold de Buy wins $100,000 Gold Rush Futurity

Behold de Buy needed to pass nearly every horse in the field of twelve on August 22 to win the $100,000 Gold Rush Futurity at Arapahoe Downs, charging from tenth place and having to go eight-wide to claim the victory. Having just broke his maiden on August 1, the 2-year-old son of E Dubai made good in his first Stakes attempt drawing away to win by two and one-quarter lengths.

Bred by Tommy Van Meter and Brian Kahn in Kentucky, Behold de Buy has proven to be a bargain for his owner Donna Eaton who obtained the colt for $3,500 at Keeneland’s 2009 September Yearling Sale. He is out of the multiple Stakes winner Godmother whose resume includes a victory in the G3 Safely Kept Stakes.
