Seventh winner for freshman sire Animal Kingdom

Two-year-old filly Camila Princess wins at Gulfstream Park West

Animal Kingdom’s two-year-old daughter Camila Princess broke her maiden at Gulfstream Park West on November 3rd to become the seventh winner in the northern hemisphere for her freshman sire.

Making her second lifetime start, Camila Princess broke a bit slowly and was near the back of the pack early in the seven-and-one-half furlong turf maiden.  She began her move half-way around the turn and flew home down the stretch to win going away by two lengths.

Bred in Kentucky by Hunter Valley Farm, Golden Acorn, Adrian Regan, and Keith Lazarz, Camila Princess is out of the stakes-winning Put It Back mare Putyourdreamsaway.

Animal Kingdom is the sire of six other winners from his first northern hemisphere crop, including three black-type winners.  Tops among these is the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf-bound TDN Rising Star Untamed Domain, winner of Woodbine’s G2 Summer Stakes on September 17th.  His other winners include G2-placed Sunny Skies, Del Mar Graduation Stakes winner Continental Divide, and undefeated TDN Rising Star Grace and Dignity.

Animal Kingdom will stand at Jonabell Farm in 2018 for a fee of $30,000, stands and nurses.
