Rockport Harbor colt rules in the Empire State

Freshman sire gets sixth winner from his first crop

Less than 48 hours away from his most recent winner in California, Rockport Harbor was represented by yet another winner in New York state, with Bristol Harbour taking a maiden special event at Finger Lakes racetrack.

Off very well in the field of nine, the two-year-old was content to lay third along the backstretch and let the two front runners challenge for the lead. He then made a sustained move throughout the stretch and was able to wrestle away the lead just before the wire.

Bristol Harbour is out of the Listed winner Anclote whose first four foals to race are all winners. Anclote is out of the Listed winner and G1-placed mare Imah. Bristol Harbour was bred by J M J Racing Stabes LLC in New York.

Rockport Harbor’s five other winners from his first crop include the G3 colt Minutesandtouches.
