Regal Joanne shines for Street Boss

18th winner for first-crop sire

It was a victory down in the bayou for Zayat Stables' filly Regal Joanne, who was the latest winner for Street Boss December 14. The two-year-old drew away to impressively break her maiden at Delta Downs.

In the five furlong race Regal Joanne chased the early pace on the inside. She began to challenge for the lead at the top of the lane and pulled away mid-stretch for a solid four and one-quarter length victory.

Regal Joanne was bred in Kentucky by Hertrich/McCarthy Livestock LLC & John D. Fielding and is out of Se Bella, by Forestry. The mare is a half-sister to G3 Lexington Stakes winner Sharp Impact and Stakes-placed Speed Hunter.

Street Boss ranks among the top first-crop sires with 18 winners to date. Representatives from this first crop include four Stakes horses such as unbeaten Stakes winner Bosco and G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile-placed Capo Bastone. A multiple G1 winner by the fantastic Street Cry, Street Boss will stand the upcoming breeding season for $10,000 stands and nurses.
