Questing crowned Eclipse Champion Three-Year-Old Filly

Hard Spun filly rewarded after exciting G1 victories in 2012

Darley sire Hard Spun's multiple G1-winning daughter Questing was honored as 2012 Eclipse Champion Three-Year-Old Filly January 19 at the  Hallandale Beach, Florida ceremony.

The esteemed filly showcased strong performances during the summer of 2012 to put herself at the top of her division. Questing shined in Saratoga's G1 CCA Oaks with a four and one-quarter length score for Godolphin Racing. She followed the strong G1 CCA Oaks with another dominating performance, this time by an incredible nine lengths in the G1 Alabama Stakes.

Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, Questing was bred in England by Darley. She is out of the Seeking the Gold mare Chercheuse, a multiple Stakes winner in France. She is from the fantastic family of Quiet American's multiple G1 winner Switch, and Cherchueuse has a yearling by Cape Cross currently.

In addition to dual G1 winner Questing, Hard Spun is also the sire of Zo Impressive, a winner of the G1 Mother Goose Stakes in 2012. His most recent Graded winner was Hard Not To Like, who cruised in the G3 Marshua's River Stakes at Gulfstream in early January. Hard Spun is the sire of six Graded/Group winners and a total of 17 Graded horses already in just two crops to hit the track.
