Another Graded Stakes winner for Street Cry as Desert Party triumphs at Saratoga

Desert Party made an eye-catching debut back in June when winning at Arlington Park and confirmed the impression that he is a colt to follow when scorching to a three-and-a-quarter length victory in the G2 Sanford Stakes at the Spa, having been sent off favorite.

Bred by David Smith and Steven Sinatra, the Street Cry juvenile was turning heads even before he reached the racetrack, fetching $2.1m  at the two-year-olds in training sale at Fasig-Tipton Calder . He is out of the Tabasco Cat mare Sage Cat and is a half-brother to Choucroute winner Elliecat.

A little less than a fortnight ago, Street Cry enjoyed a memorable weekend when the unbeaten Zenyatta and sprinter Street Boss each landed a G1 at Hollywood Park.
