Nyquist filly goes wire-to-wire in the Wilton

Randomized earns her first career Stakes victory at the Spa

Nyquist's three-year-old daughter Randomized earned her first Stakes victory in just her fourth lifetime start, going gate-to-wire in the one-mile Wilton Stakes on the dirt at Saratoga on July 14, 2023.

Breaking sharply as the 6-5 favorite under jockey Irad Ortiz, Randomized established the lead and never looked back, maintaining her advantage in the stretch to win by a length and a half for trainer Chad Brown and owner Klaravich Stables.

Bred in Kentucky by Cove Springs, LLC, Randomized was a $420,000 purchase at the 2021 Keeneland September Yearling Sale. She is the fourth foal out of the unraced Elusive Quality mare French Passport, a half-sister to G2 winners Smooth Air and Overdriven. French Passport has a yearling filly by Frosted and a filly foal by Maxfield

Randomized is the seventh Black Type winner of 2023 for Nyquist, a list which includes juvenile filly Crimson Advocate, recent winner of the G2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, as well as multiple Stakes winners Johannes and Flying Connection, and Stakes winners Hacking It Up, New York Thunder and Xigera.
