New Stakes winner for E Dubai

Don’tgetsuspicious is now seven wins from 11 starts after Monmouth success

Three-year-old E Dubai filly Don’tgetsuspicious took her tally of wins to seven from just 11 starts when recording her first Stakes victory in the Listed Miss Woodford Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday, 29 August.

Bred by Dr Gary Priest and Mr and Mrs J D Santen, Don’tgetsuspicious is out of the Nureyev mare Poco Bambino and had her first taste of success last December  when strolling home the six-and-a-quarter length winner of a Laurel Park maiden. Two more wide-margin victories followed in consecutive races in January and February and she has since added wins at Pimlico and Philadelphia Park before her most recent triumph.

After the disappointment of missing the Triple Crown races through quarter cracks, Elusive Quality colt Quality Road won the G2 Amsterdam Stakes at Saratoga on his last start on 3 August, beating subsequent King’s Bishop Stakes winner Capt Candyman Can. Returning to the same track on Saturday, albeit facing much sloppier conditions, he took third in the G1 Shadwell Travers Stakes.

There was also further black type for AllIcansayiswow, a four-year-old daughter of Street Cry, who has beaten just half a length when second in the G2 Del Mar Mile Handicap.
