New Boss takes no prisoners in Allen ‘Black Cat’ Lecombe Memorial Stakes

Street Boss filly goes wire-to-wire to earn her first Stakes win

New Boss made her Stakes debut a winning one with a front-running victory in the Allen ‘Black Cat’ Lecombe Memorial Stakes at Fair Grounds Racecourse March 6.

Sent straight to the front by jockey Adam Beschizza, New Boss was hounded by Spun d’Etat (Hard Spun) through the early stages of the eight-furlong turf contest. She was able to shake free from that rival at the quarter pole and drew off under steady urging through the lane to win by four lengths.

New Boss was bred in Kentucky by Hinkle Farms and is out of Denali Dreamscape, a winning daughter of Corinthian. New Boss’s second dam, Dreamscape, is a full sister to Champion and multiple G1 winning sprinter, Housebuster.

Street Boss is having a phenomenal season thus far in 2021. In addition to the Lecombe Memorial winner, Street Boss is the sire of talented Australian juveniles Anamoe (G2 Todman Stakes) and Arcaded (G2 Blue Diamond Fillies Prevue).

Street Boss is standing at Jonabell Farm in Kentucky for a fee of $15,000 stands and nurses.
