Offlee Wild filly scores second Stakes victory in a row

Local, by Offlee Wild, scored her second Stakes victory in a row July 2 at Evangeline Downs with a win in the Louisiana Distaff Stakes. The four-year-old filly was entering off a very good victory in the Honeymoon Stakes at Louisiana Downs on June 4. Sent off as the heavy favorite, Local rallied from off the pace to get up for the lead in the stretch and take the victory in the final stages of the race.

A homebred for Heiligbrodt Racing Stable, Local is out of Icy Reality, by Proper Reality. She is a half-sister to three Stakes winners - Bullet Breeze, War's Prospect, and Willist. In addition, she is a half-sister to G2 Arkansas Derby placed Bay Monster.

Offlee Wild is the sire of five Stakes winners, among them Eclipse Champion She Be Wild. He was Leading Sire of Two-Year-Olds in 2009 and is out of a half-sister to leading sire Dynaformer. Offlee Wild stands for $7,500 Stands and Nurses.
