Juvenile Stakes winner for Cherokee Run

Cherokee Echo impresses at a mile; Canadian Stakes winner for Street Cry

Cherokee Run two-year-old Cherokee Echo took her career tally to two wins from three runs when scoring her first Stakes success in the Listed Barbara Shinpoch Stakes at Emerald Downs on Sunday, 31 August.

Having won over five furlongs on debut in June, the Northwest Farms-bred filly stepped up to a mile for the first time, coming home clear by half a length. She is out of the Eastern Echo mare Silver Echo.

There was also black type success for Sweep’s Cry, a four-year-old by Street Cry, who won the seven-furlong Open Stakes at Lethbridge in Canada for his sixth win from 12 starts.
