High five

Freshman sire Consolidator notches his fifth individual winner and sires his first Black type performer

Darley first-season sire Consolidator recorded his fifth individual winner in convincing style on 22 July, when Dubai Miracle put up an impressive performance to win at Lingfield in the United Kingdom.

Sent off the 13-8 favorite, the David Simcock-trained colt was always in touch and taking the inside line to move into the lead with two furlongs left to run, stayed on well to take the seven furlong contest by two and a quarter lengths.

Bred by Brylynn Farm Inc, Dubai Miracle is out of the unraced Mr Prospector mare East Cape, who has now produced six winners from six foals to race.

Also on Wednesday, Absolute Music became Consolidator's first Black type performer when finishing second in the Listed Prix Reves d'Or at Vichy, France.
