Sophomore colt crushes foes with a seven and one-half length victory

Highly thought-of when he went through the OBS 2023 Spring Sale, Zedan Racing Stable's Maymun (by Frosted), ran to the money with an impressive three-year-old debut on January 20, 2024, at Santa Anita.

Off quickly in the six and one-half furlong event on the main track, the bay sophomore carried jockey Juan Hernandez through quick opening fractions of :21.72 and :43.91. He maintained a comfortable lead throughout and drew away down the stretch, Maymun eventually posted a seven and one-half-length victory while earning TDN Rising Star honors along with a 94 Beyer.

Maymun was bred in Kentucky by Vision Racing & Sales LLC. He is out of the Indian Charlie mare Handwoven, a full to Stakes-placed Auspicious and a half to Stakes-placed Flatter Than Me
