First foal for Rockport Harbor

Bay colt arrives on January 6

The first reported foal by Darley stallion Rockport Harbor has arrived.

Bred by Dr. John R Cummins, the bay colt is the first foal out of the Cat Thief mare Cat Lea and was born at Windfields Farm in Ontario. Cat Lea is a half-sister to multiple G2 winner My Boston Gal and is from the family of three-time G1 winner Flanders and her Champion daughter Surfside. Cat Lea is due to visit new Darley stallion Any Given Saturday in 2008.

Rockport Harbor was an outstanding juvenile who won his first three starts by more than 22 lengths combined. He went on to land the G2 Remsen Stakes in the fastest time for 28 years and upon his retirement from racing at four had earned his own fans' website and the nickname Rocky. A son of sire of sires Unbridled's Song; his first two dams are both Stakes-winning juveniles and he carries no Northern Dancer blood for five generations.

He stands at Darley America at a fee of $20,000 Stands and Nurses.
