The first “Baby Animal!”

Animal Kingdom’s first Northern Hemisphere foal has arrived

Breeders and fans of Animal Kingdom alike were treated to a preview of what to expect from his first Northern Hemisphere foals as he stood his first season in Australia at Arrowfield Stud in 2013. The gallery we posted here of those foals "down under" made it pretty evident that we should be genuinely excited about his first crop in America.

Well, on January 17 at Herbener Farm in Georgetown, Kentucky, the excitement officially began as a very nice filly out of G3 winner Garden District was born. Jim Herbener, owner of Herbener Farm, expressed his sentiments about the new arrival when saying, “The foal is very correct and has attractive head and eye. Plenty of bone.”

A total of 124 mares were pronounced in-foal from his first book of 2014 so stay tuned for many more updates to follow.

A few 2015 seasons are still available so please call a member of our nominations team on (859) 255-8537 if you would like to receive additional information on Animal Kingdom. 2015 fee, $35,000, live foal, stands and nurses.
