Exclusive Diva excellent in Irish Day Handicap

Third Stakes win for Bernardini filly

Bernardini's Exclusive Diva entered the Irish Day Handicap as the one to beat as the 1-2 shot, and no one could stop her as the filly rolled to her third Stakes victory June 24.

Among horses while pressing the pace to start the one mile race, Exclusive Diva began to make her move entering the turn. Asserting herself in the stretch, all were chasing her where she proved much the best with the win. This was the third Stakes victory for the Bernardini filly, who most recently won the Seattle Handicap at the end of May. She was also a winner of the Angie C. Stakes at two, and has won or placed in every lifetime start.

The three-year-old filly is a homebred for Northwest Farms LLC. She is out of Puxa Saco, by Dehere, who is a G3 winner and also placed in Churchill's G1 Humana Distaff.

Bernardini, a fantastic son of AP Indy, had the ultimate freshman crop with eight G1 horses and four G1 winners. They include millionaires To Honor And Serve and Stay Thirsty. His second-crop is proving just as exciting, with Graded/Group winners Algorithms, Alpha, and Gamilati. The crop is also represented by recent G3 winners Le Bernardin and Via Villaggio.

Bernardini stands at Darley USA for $150,000.
