Emirates Queen crowned in G2 Lancashire Oaks

Emirates Queen, a daughter of potent sire Street Cry, landed the G2 Lancashire Oaks over the Haydock Park turf course July 6. The lightly raced filly came on strong in the final strides of the one-and-one-half-mile race to take the victory and earn her first Group score.

Out of G1 Oaks d'Italia winner and Champion Zomaradah, Emirates Queen is a half-sister to fantastic Darley sire and G1 winner Dubawi, as well as Stakes winner Princess Nada. The four-year-old filly was bred by Darley.

With her victory, Emirates Queen becomes the 40th Graded or Group winner for her sire Street Cry, who has 13 G1 winners to his credit around the globe. His top representatives are Horse Of The Year Zenyatta, G1 Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense, and G1 winner and record-breaking sprinter Street Boss.
